Current Reading (Ethnic Conflict in Ghana)
I am currently reading up on the history of the various ethnic groups that make up modern Ghana. In particular I have been reading about the Ewe and Konkomba. The Ewe live in the southern Volta region and are split between Ghana, Togo, and Benin and had a long lived, but ultimately failed movement for unification in the last century. The Konkomba live in the north and have had violent conflicts in the last several decades with the Nanumba, Gonja, and Dagomba. I am almost positive nobody will leave any comments, but just in case please consider this an open thread on ethnic conflict in Ghana.

But you didn't mention the title of the book?
It sounds like an important subject. You should really put together a monograph and submit it to a major press. It would almost certainly get published.

There are multiple books involved. I am reading them concurrently. But, if you scroll down a bit there is a list of three of the books I have recently been reading. I have finished two of them.

I am just in the very early stages of even learning about it.
You probably already know ten times more on the subject than any western scholar.
Walt I may know ten times what most Americans know about it, but I still don't have a real strong scholarly grasp of the subject. But, I am trying to read everything I can find on the subject.
Maybe you could present some of your work at the 2013 IAGS conference in Sienna Italy in June, or at the 2015 conference in Yerevan.
Walt I have done nothing, but read some secondary sources on Ethnic Conflict in Ghana. But, there isn't anything I have come across that resembles Rwanda or any other case of genocide. Besides I use summers to go to Kyrgyzstan.
