Back in Ghana

I arrived back in Ghana two days ago. I moved into a new flat over in Adenta. It is quite nice. We are still on strike. The decline in value of the cedi has seriously eroded the actual worth of my salary. By my calculation I am earning 75% less in terms of dollars than I would have been if the exchange rate had remained constant since I started working here in 2011. It looks like both my main campus classes are on Friday morning from 7:30 am to 9:20 am and 9:30 am to 11:20 am. It is good they are both on the same day. But, 7:30 am means I have to get up pretty early now that I have to commute from Adenta to Legon.
