My last reader survey was a complete failure. It only got one comment and I have no idea who that person was. Of course it may be that he is the only person other than my parents, one guy in Manhattan, one other person in Ghana, and occasionally a guy in Hungary who ever reads my blog. However, I am hoping that there may be some lurkers out there who have not made their presence known to me.
You need posts that will drive up traffic. The technique is easy enough.
ReplyDeleteI've read every post over the last two years via RSS. I like everything except the expressions of frustration about Northern Hemisphere academical. (Not because they're untrue--I wouldn't know--but because I'll never have any kind of shot at anything as cool as your life right now.) As I said before, I am related to Eric and email address is on my profile.
ReplyDeleteI am really getting a lot out of your blog, especially on the topics of Germans in central Asia and the cultures in and near Ghana. (I studied Ghana briefly in primary school.)

ReplyDeleteOy. What am I, chopped liver?!
Mr. Fitzgerald: I mentioned you as the one person who commented. I still have no idea who you are. The name sounds Irish, but the last comment appears to be influenced by Yiddish idioms. Maybe another reader from Manhattan where Irish pubs and Jewish delis are in close proximity?
ReplyDeleteNa Irish Irish. Though the website hits would be from England(Where I live) Basically I became aware of your blog from your posts on other sites, and check up once a day or so, fwiw
