Friday, I went to the supermarket to buy some juice. I purchased a liter of peach juice which is pretty common here in Bishkek. I also purchased a liter of juice made from a fruit I do not think I have ever consumed before, quince. It tasted a bit like tart apple juice.

ReplyDeleteHave you tried the quinced jam? It is one of my favorite jams and a popular on in Turkey. There is also a quince dessert, baked quinces with syrup.// Inci
I have not tasted quinced jam. But, Kyrgyz and Turkmen tell me it is very popular throughout Central Asia. My mother says my grandmother used to make it as well.
