Sorry to hear about your fallout with AUCA after I left Bishkek. Life goes on...even in Ghana. You should try to plan a trip to Namibia if you want to explore German colonization in SW Africa. I've been teaching p/t since return to Utah last year. Good to keep my focus. I miss life in Bishkek. It was simpler in some ways...oh, yes, there was last April, too. I'm on FaceBook, if you want to reach me.

--Best, wishes for your success.
Allen PalmerAllen Palmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16863434650623857621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858950.post-81771970256713832592011-04-06T10:30:02.417+03:002011-04-06T10:30:02.417+03:00Well, Dr. Pohl there are a number of your ex-stude...Well, Dr. Pohl there are a number of your ex-students reading your blog. They surrounded him and ordered him to get in a van. He resisted a bit, and told me, "I'd read that story, and it doesn't have a happy ending." They just took him to the police station, where everyone was actually pretty nice to him. After getting scolded by a large woman police officer, they had him sign an apology and took him home. Didn't even ask for a bribe.

He was only a few miles from the border with Nigeria, where things most likely wouldn't have turned out so pleasant.Leo Tolstoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09981175004364048601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858950.post-41732737927401627492011-04-01T13:01:46.760+03:002011-04-01T13:01:46.760+03:00Stanley:

From reports on CNN it appears that there are about 1 million refugees from the fighting and Outtara forces have sealed the border with Liberia. Are Ghanaian officials still pretending nothing has happened? It would be astounding if that's the case.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06490967984729884509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7858950.post-76533870314062427842011-03-31T18:47:38.662+03:002011-03-31T18:47:38.662+03:00Nina:
