I took a group of Mennonites on a very brief exploration of Nikolaipol and Johannesdorf. We spent most of our time in Khiva and Ak Metchet, following the Great Trek of Mennonites in 1880-82. Do you know about the end of the Mennonite settlements in this region? What remnants remain of Mennonites? What can you tell me about the art museum there? Is anyone doing fresh research of the Mennonite experience?

Best regards,

John Sharp
Hesston College
Hesston, Kansas 67062
jsharp51@gmail.comJohn E.
